Tuesday October 23, 2007
We headed back to Cairo. We went straight to the marriage office to pick up the certificates, which took forever.
We went to his place for lunch then headed to the hotel.
In the evening we went to Khan-el-Khalili and did some shopping.
Wednesday October 24, 2007
Mohab went and did the running around work in the morning while I stayed at the hotel. I'm lucky I did as the translation office was terrible, he did have to literally run.
In the evening we went to the Giza sound and light show.
After dinner we met up with one of his friends, Deyaa.
Thursday October 25, 2007
We took the translated certificate to the Canadian Embassy.

We headed to Azhar Park for the afternoon. The area of Cairo around it is known as the land of 1000 Minarets and it is a truly amazing sound when prayer call is sounded and they are all going at once.
In the evening we went to one of his friend's for dinner and met up with two more there. After dinner we all went out for coffee. We got home at around 4am.
Friday October 26, 2007
We spent most of the day relaxing and getting ready to leave.
We went to his parent's for dinner, then back to the hotel to finish getting ready.

Mohab's friend Deyaa picked us up from the hotel to take us to the airport.
Mohab took me in and we said our good-byes, well, see yas, actually.
The check in too forever, they were so slow. Everything else went quickly including boarding and takeoff. This time I sat next to the emergency exit, which I really didn't like as there were a lot of strange sounds. The first flight took four hours, and I barely slept.
The transfer had to be the worst wo hours of my life, I was soooo tired, but afraid to fall asleep incase I missed the boarding.
We boarded and took off with no problem. The flight back was fine and I slept most of the way. I sat beside a really nice man for the flight back.
After landing I got my car and a coffee... mmm Timmies! I drove straight to Bowmanville to pick up Willow. She was so excited to see me and was really desperate to go home. When we got home she played for a bit and then fell sound asleep.
It's good to be back in Canada, but of course I miss my husband.
